Inside the $250,000 Life of the Man Who Runs an Oil Rig

What an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) actually does and why the $250K offshore salary comes with total legal responsibility. This film follows a real OIM's day running a 100+ person rig, from SIMOPS and permits to US Coast Guard licensing and UK law, the difference between drilling and production platforms, the 15-year climb from deck to chair, and what the night of April 20, 2010 on Deepwater Horizon reveals about who is really in charge.
