How Do I Candle Silkie Chicken Eggs? We are on day 6 of the eggs in the incubator, and its time to see how they are doing. We candled all 26 silkie eggs, two were a "no" and were not placed back in the incubator. Two were a "not sure" so were placed back in the incubator, but away from the other eggs so I can check them at a later date. The only tools we used were a bright flashlight, and a dark room. No need to buy anything expensive! One thing I failed to mention in the video is that I am VERY gentle when moving the eggs. If you bang, or move too quickly, you risk losing the baby chick.
