This simple melody stacks beautifully into a 3-part canon by the end of the song, building the skills of developing part-singers. A quote from Emily Dickinson's treasured poem, "Hope Is the Thing with Feathers," provides contrast in the middle of this tender and tuneful song. An excellent choice for any time of year.
