Avishai Darash - The Land Of Milk And Honey

As the son of Iraqi and Tunisian parents, I wrote this music as an homage to the sound of our Friday evening dinners: the rhythms, melodies, and emotions of a family gathering at the end of the week, just before Saturday - the day of rest. Every Friday, my mother brought us all together and held our family close, creating a space of love, gratitude, and reflection. One of her cherished traditions was to ask each of us two simple questions: What are we grateful for from the week that has passed? And what are we looking forward to in the week ahead? This piece is my attempt to capture and honour those moments : the laughter, the conversations, the stillness, and the deep sense of belonging that filled our home each Friday evening. This piece is dedicated to my home country, Israel: the land of milk and honey. Avishai Darash - Piano/Composition Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Brendon Heinst for TRPTK Records.
