Hi, I'm Danny with etrailer and today we're gonna take a look at and I'm gonna show how to install the CURT T Connector Wiring Harness on our 2025 Toyota RAV4. If you're planning on doing any kind of towing with your RAV4, like a kayak carrier like we have today, or maybe a small camper, then you're gonna need some 4-pole wiring to make everything safe and legal on the road. Your wiring is going to allow you to utilize your turn signals, your running lights and your brake lights, making it safe on the highway so they all know what you're doing when they're behind you and your trailer. As you can see, all the lights on the RAV4 are gonna be working on our trailer. We got left turn, we got right turn, we got brakes, and we got running lights. Go ahead and unplug our harness, open our hatch and show you how this is in here. So as you can see, we have a pretty long span of wire and when you're ready to store this, you can put it just simply inside or you can put it under your rear hatch and store it in here. But when you're ready to use it, you pull it out and this will go on the weather seal and that will prevent it from getting pinched by your rear hatch. So that's how it's designed and that's perfectly normal and we can go and plug this in and start towing. This wiring harness is going to work with your hybrid models like we have today or your gas models. Now if you decide to get this wiring harness, please send in a picture of your setup. We'd love to see what you're towing with your RAV4. Now as far as the install goes, this is fairly simple. It's all plug and play connections, which is really nice. You will have to run a power wire, which is really easy in the hybrid since the battery's back here. But if you don't have the time or tools to do any of that yourself, feel free to check out our dealer locator. We can find a professional in your area to get this done for you. But if you wanna do it yourself, follow along and I'll show you how to do it. To start off here, I'm gonna remove the mat, get this set to the side. I'm gonna remove this carpeted section as well. Set this to the side for now. Now on the side trim piece, there's going to be a cargo hook and that's gonna have a 10 millimeter bolt. I'll get this removed. (drill girding) I'll get this set to the side and up here there's gonna be a push pin fastener. I'll just use a flathead screwdriver, get this in the side, twist it, get that removed, and I'll do this on both sides. And this center threshold is just in here with some fasteners, so you can just apply some pressure, pull up on it and you should be able to get these removed. I'm gonna work my way down until I get it completely removed. And as you can see, this is where it was attached. And I'll get this set to the side. And we have a hybrid today, so our battery's actually going to be right here. If you don't have a hybrid, you're gonna have to run that power line over to the engine bay to get your power. But I'm gonna pull up on this and there's gonna be a handle on the inside. I'm gonna get this lifted away and there's our battery. I'll get each of these side panels and I'm working my away from the bottom. I'll get these pulled out. It helped if I put my hand closer to the inside, there was a fastener further in. And I'm gonna pull this out to reveal some of our wire harnesses back here. And I can't pull this panel out too far because it is hitting the spare tire. So I'm gonna get this removed. So I'm just gonna pull this out. Loosen that. And now I can lift this away and set it to the side. I'm gonna also remove this screw in the back with a eight millimeter socket. (drill girding) Get that removed and then I can pull this up and that way I can pull our panel a little further. Got the wire harness here and the side that has the red and yellow wires. It's going to go to the driver's side. I'm gonna find the plug that corresponds to our plugs on the harness. Pull this out and not gonna be this one, but it's gonna be the one further back right here. I'm gonna push down on the pin on the top, get this unplugged. Now I'll plug this into our T connector. Get the other side plugged in. We gotta find a place to mount our control module. They give you some double-sided sticky tape that I put on our box already. And now I think I'm gonna
