Bulldogs Highlights, 5-1 win vs Surrey Eagles Sept.26.2026

Arman Adamyan's hat trick propelled the Alberni Valley Bulldogs past the visiting Surrey Eagles 5-1, Saturday night at the Mulitplex. The Bulldogs struck three times in the first period, then added singles in the second and third, including an empty net goal to seal the win. Netminder Dayton Kitchener was solid all night between the pipes, including a 21 save third period for a total 36 stops, earning second star honours. Justin Brisebois was relieved after allowing 4 goals on 17 attempts, while Grady Peterson came in relief to kick out all 9 he faced. "We won the game because of our goaltender, and we got a bit of a cushion early." said Head Coach and GM Joe Martin, "We definitely weren't perfect tonight, some break outs and some miscue's in our own zone trying to do too much. The right attention is there, the execution wasn't really there." Forward Andrea Meunier added a single for Alberni Valley, while Kole Keen notched a single for the visitors. The line of Adamyan (3g), Gleb Semenko (2a) and Eduard Mishikov (3a) combined for 8 points. The Bulldogs were unable to strike on three man advantages, while the Eagles went 1 for 5. Alberni Valley improves to 2-1 on the season, and up next will continue their 4 game homestand next Friday night against the Okotoks Oilers at 7pm.
