This is NOT just a MIDI controller! – M-Vave SMK-37 Elite Built-in FM Synth Test

Most reviews only show the M-Vave SMK-37 as a basic MIDI controller. I couldn't find a single decent video on the internet showcasing its actual internal synth capabilities, so I decided to make one myself. There is a huge hidden feature here: a fully functional, built-in hardware FM synthesizer engine! In this short video, I demonstrate how this compact gear can directly load and play legendary Yamaha DX7 .syx (SysEx) files. The patches featured here are a mix of classic downloaded sounds and some custom tones I designed myself using Dexed. Full disclosure: I am not a professional pianist, so please excuse my playing! I just wanted to get these raw sounds out there for anyone curious about what this machine can actually do. IMPORTANT: The audio in this video comes EXCLUSIVELY from the built-in synthesizer engine of the M-Vave SMK-37 Elite.
