The 23rd game I played is Rail Frenzy.
In this game, the main goal is to build a railway for our train before it moves too far. To gather resources, we have three tools: an axe for cutting wood, a pickaxe for mining stone, and water for keeping the train's cooling system running.
The train starts moving only 15 seconds after the round begins, so there is almost no time to simply farm resources. Behind the train, there is a cooling system that needs to be supplied with water before the temperature gets too high. There is also a resource cart that works as an inventory, and a crafting cart where collected materials can be turned into complete railway tracks.
The landscape constantly changes, making it even more difficult to prepare the railway in time. My character can carry only three resources of the same type, so every trip matters.
If the railway isn't built before the train reaches the end of the available track, the round is lost. If the cooling system isn't supplied with enough water, the train can also explode.
At first, I tried playing alone and lost several times. I then spent about five minutes in the lobby looking for people who wanted to play cooperatively. There could be up to 10 players in the lobby, but most of them simply stood around, disappeared, or seemed to start their own games.
Eventually, I joined a 2/4 cooperative game, but it seemed the other players didn't want me there, and I was kicked. The remaining three players then started their game.
After realizing how difficult it was to find an active team, I returned to solo mode. Surprisingly, after several attempts, I started to understand the mechanics and managed to survive two rounds by myself.
Rail Frenzy made me realize that sometimes the biggest challenge in a cooperative game isn't the gameplay itself — it's finding someone willing to cooperate.
