Das mechanische Ballett ist Kurt Schmidts 1923 am Bauhaus entstandenes Ballett, das THEATER DER KLÄNGE 1987 wiederbelebte. Dieser Trailer zeigt HD-Material einer Wiederaufführung direkt am Bauhaus Dessau am 28. November 2009 - am historischen Ort der Bauhausbühne. 2011 lief derselbe Trailer als Beitrag zur Ausstellung "Danser sa vie" im Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Gemeinsam mit Moholy-Nagys "Die mechanische Exzentrik" bildete das Stück zwischen 1987 und 1992 ein Bauhaus-Doppelprogramm mit 62 Vorstellungen in 18 Städten. Die kubisch-farbigen Kostüme nach Schmidts Bauhaus-Entwürfen machen das Stück zu einem der ikonischsten Bilder der Bauhausbühne. The Mechanical Ballet is Kurt Schmidt's 1923 Bauhaus ballet, revived by THEATER DER KLÄNGE in 1987. This trailer shows HD footage of a restaging performed directly at the Bauhaus Dessau on 28 November 2009 - at the historical site of the Bauhaus stage. In 2011 the same trailer was shown as part of the exhibition "Danser sa vie" at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Together with Moholy-Nagy's "The Mechanical Eccentric", the piece formed a Bauhaus double bill between 1987 and 1992, with 62 performances in 18 cities. The cubic, colourful costumes based on Schmidt's Bauhaus designs make the piece one of the most iconic images of the Bauhaus stage.
