After every meal, your blood sugar rises — that's normal. What matters is how high it goes and how long it stays there. And the easiest thing you can do about it isn't in a gym. It's ten minutes, right after you eat.
What makes this different from ordinary walking advice is the timing. A randomised trial found that walking after meals lowered blood sugar more than the same amount of walking done at another time of day. Same activity, same duration — better result. This video covers why the timing matters, how long and how fast you actually need to go, which meal gives the biggest effect, and a second benefit of post-meal walks that almost nobody mentions.
⏱ Timestamps:
0:00 — After every meal, blood sugar rises
0:45 — Why walking works: the second door for glucose
1:50 — Timing beats volume
2:55 — How long and how fast
4:00 — Which meal matters most
5:10 — The second effect: triglycerides and steps
6:15 — How to do it right
7:15 — What to do this week
8:15 — Red flags and final takeaway
