Experience a peaceful morning walk through one of the most beautiful and historic hidden gems in North Wales.
In this 4K virtual walking tour, we explore the timeless Welsh village of Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog (Llanarmon DC), nestled deeply within the stunning Ceiriog Valley—a place famously described as "a little bit of heaven on earth."
Filmed on an, early September morning at 11:30 AM with a cool temperature of 14°C (57°F), this ambient video captures the true atmosphere of the Welsh countryside. It is a completely relaxing, commentary-free walk filled with the calming sounds of nature, village life, wind and footsteps.
We begin overlooking the village on a quiet countryside lane, enjoying panoramic views of the rooftops and the historic church steeple below. As we enter the village, we pass the poignant "Silent Soldier" silhouette standing guard by the village sign, a touching tribute to local wartime sacrifices.
Crossing the stone bridge over the rushing River Ceiriog (widely known as the fastest-flowing river in Wales), we venture past the historic 16th-century West Arms Country Inn. Along the way, we even get an earful from some cheeky wildlife—encountering a couple of local squirrels, including one who was very vocal about sharing the road!
Next, we step into the ancient and sacred grounds of St Garmon’s Church, walking among the centuries-old yew trees while exploring their deep connection to Welsh culture and history. We wrap up our slow travel tour by passing the famous Hand at Llanarmon inn, listening to the gentle sounds of the stream, and strolling past the local village school.
