In this 1-hour-and-6-minute documentary, Grandfather Avazollah faces the daily challenges of mountain shepherding, moving across steep paths and rocky terrain while leading his flock toward the river. 🌿 Traditional Shepherding in the Mountains Surrounded by ancient oak and baneh trees, Grandfather carefully guides his sheep and goats along difficult mountain paths. His work requires patience, attention, and experience as he leads the flock through the natural landscape. 🌊 Resting Beside a Rushing River When the flock reaches the river, the animals drink and rest in the shade of a large oak tree. Grandfather gathers firewood and lights a fire beside the flowing water. He tries to catch fish using hand nets, but does not catch any fish during this attempt. 🔥 Preparing a Simple Meal in Nature After fishing, Grandfather prepares tea using river water and warms canned tuna over the hot coals. This quiet moment beside the rushing river shows another part of his daily life in the mountains. 🐐 Caring for the Flock and Returning Uphill Grandfather later uses a stick to reach fresh oak foliage for the animals. He continues looking after his flock before guiding the sheep and goats uphill toward the village. 🌳 Real Life in the Green Zagros Mountains This authentic mountain documentary captures the hard work, traditional skills, and everyday experiences of a shepherd living close to nature.
