Lo How A Rose E'er Blooming for String Quartet and Piano, arrangement by Mark Mitchell

This lovely German carol (Es ist ein Ros entsprungen) was first published in 1599. In 1609 it received its present form in a setting by Michael Praetorius. This string arrangement, adapted from my choral setting, was written for the Westwind Strings, a student orchestra I conducted from 2017 to 2020.
