Episode 756 –
Born in Dandora, raised in Majengo and Ziwani, and lived in Kaloleni
She grew up in Kaloleni with domestic violence at home, watched her mother leave for South Africa to survive, moved to Germany, and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. Chemo every 14 days. COVID. Depression. And she came out of it BOLD.
Today she's a fashion stylist who has dressed reggae artists like Samory I and Gentleman (best dressed at Summerjam!) and the founder of BBG – Black, Bold & Gold. Black because she's proud of it. Bold because cancer took her hair. Gold because that's her worth.
We talk cancer, early retirement, why "depression is more dangerous than cancer," racism in Germany ("not black enough, not white enough"), forgiving her father, and why Kenyan artists need live bands.
