Learn Chishi Kata for Goju Ryu

If you're doing real Goju Ryu, then you're definitely using chishi. This traditional Okinawan training implement is a standard tool in every Goju Ryu dojo, and so we've used Sensei Morio Higaonna's chishi sequence (as found in his book Traditional Karate-Do, Volume 1) and made it into a kata for our students, as well as anyone who would like to improve their chishi skill and understanding. Chapters: 00:00 - Where the chishi kata comes from 00:43 - What is chishi? 04:14 - Chishi kata (slow, walk through version) 09:31 - Why chishi is vital to karate 11:00 - Chishi kata from side 13:14 - Breathing and recommended repetitions Our videos are free, but not cheap to make!
