The Supra SC is a dedicated wake board and wake surfing boat built in the U.S. It sits at the top end of this competitive market with a level of refinement you won't find on competitive models. Boatadvice.com.au tested the Supra SC on the Shoalhaven River, a popular wakeboarding destination of the south coast of NSW courtesy of its meandering and protected river. Along for the ride we had a professional boarder who performed a variety of tricks behind the boat for our cameras.
Onboard the SC is a classic bowrider design with accomodation for 14. The bow area is large enough for two and features a seating design allowing you to face forward or backwards in comfort. In the cockpit, a large u shaped lounge runs around the outside with a variety of flip up back rests offering different seating positions. Storage is located underneath the seats while the upholstery is all double stitched for extra durability.
At the time of testing, the Supra SC was powered by a 350hp which has now been replaced with a 400hp Ford Raptor engine by Indmar. It provides a fantastic base engine with performance more than suitable for the task at hand, getting a boarder out of the water quickly with 13 extra bodies onboard watching while you do it.
The technology in the Supra boats is impressive with an onboard computer managing the wake, ballast, drivers' seat position and even heating. Each rider can have their own ballast and wake setting which the boat will automatically adjust at the press of a button.
Boatadvice.com.au were most impressed with the performance of the Supra SC which is perfect for families with a strong water sports background or friends looking for a boat they can share and has enough personality to keep everyone entertained.
