The Ulfberht sword explained; Riddles in steel

This video presents the analysis of an actual +VLFBERH+T sword dated to the Viking Age. It shows the reconstruction of the entire manufacturing process, from running a bloomery smelt, to purifying the steel via the hearth refinement technique, to forging the sword from multiple refined bars of bloomery steel. Many common myths about Ulfbert swords are discussed and a much more logical and realistic explanation for some of the mythological misconceptions are presented in this video.
