A quiet weeknight at home in Japan. After coming home from work, I make a simple dinner for my family: miso pork and cabbage over rice, along with tonjiru, a Japanese pork and vegetable miso soup. Nothing special happens tonight — just cooking dinner, sitting around the table, and spending an ordinary evening together. Japan in Between is about everyday life in Japan beyond the famous sights and tourist destinations.
