Join us for more than three hours of winter carp fishing content!
BRAMBLE MERE
DNA’s longest-running carp-fishing series returns for a ninth season, as we head to the Cotswolds to visit the magnificent Bramble Mere, a venue famed for its scaly mirror carp.
The Winter Series has taken us all around the country over the years, including the likes of Linear Fisheries, Norton Disney, Farlows, Elphicks, Cuttle Mill, and many more besides, but this is the first time we have visited Bramble Mere, one of UK carp fishing's premiere exclusive-booking venues.
Charged with putting a carp or two on the bank for the cameras are Lee ‘Mozza’ Morris, Olly Sanders, Nicky Mills and Perry Alabaster, none of whom have fished the venue before.
GOLD LAKE
The second episode of Winter Series 9 comes from another of the Advanced Angling portfolio of carp-fishing waters, the secluded Gold Lake on the Burghfield complex.
We’ve relegated Mozza to behind the camera for this episode, as we welcome Mart Bartlett into the fray for the first time this series. Bart is joined on the bank by the transcendent Olly Sanders, who was in imperious form at Bramble Mere in the opening episode of Winter Series 9 and will be looking to continue his good run of results on this three-acre water.
Expect banter aplenty in this episode, which is always guaranteed when Mozza and Bart are on the bank together!
The lads also talk about their favourite bait mixes when fishing in the colder months, and go into detail about food, which for many people has become almost as important as the fishing itself, especially during the winter months, when the nights are much longer and colder.
CROMWELL/NASEBY RESERVOIR
We bring Winter Series 9 to a close with a two-venue episode!
We begin at one of the most popular day-ticket lakes in the country, Cromwell Lakes in Nottinghamshire, where Mozza will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his son, Lewyn, who enjoyed an 11-fish catch on the same venue a few weeks earlier!
We’ve also got some exclusive footage of the best open-access carp in the country, which Mozza got the opportunity to film and photograph for fellow DNA consultant, Nicky Mills, on his way to Cromwell. We then head to Northamptonshire to catch up with Mark Bartlett for a few nights’ long-distance fishing on Naseby Reservoir.
A lot of coloured water in the Reservoir convinces Bart to focus heavily on smell to ensure the fish can find his baited area. Utilising our new Crayfish Hydro Spod Syrup and a very special liquid we’ve been working on for a number of years, Bart goes on to enjoy a bumper session to round off what has been a fantastic series that has seen us take in four different venues over three episodes, landing a number of carp along the way.
