Leica SL3-P Review: Why I Bought It Immediately

I bought the Leica SL3-P as soon as it was released, and for three specific reasons. In this review, I break down the features that made the difference for me: improved autofocus and 40 fps burst shooting, full-frame 4K 120p video with autofocus, and the 44-megapixel sensor that sits between the SL3’s 60MP and the SL3-S’s 24MP. I also talk honestly about the tradeoffs: the buffer at 40 fps, battery life, the removed red dot, and who I believe this camera is actually for. More than a spec-sheet review, this is about confidence. When you are walking into a once-in-a-lifetime moment, the last thing you want to doubt is your camera system—or yourself. The SL3-P gives me that confidence. My hope is that you find a camera that inspires you to make photographs as much as this one inspires me.
