Flowers Of Edinburgh, RSCDS Book 1

Flowers of Edinburgh is a 32 bar reel for three couples in a four couple longwise set. Originally published in Kate Hughes' Dancing Book (MS), Dundalk 1867 with the original tune, Flowers of Edinburgh (Traditional). Music: RSCDS Book 1 recording with Bobby Crowe and his Scottish Dance Band. This dance was filmed in the magnificent Merchants Hall showcasing the elegant neo-classical architecture of Edinburgh’s New Town. The late Queen Elizabeth II was patron of both The Royal Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh and the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and her portrait is seen in each video.
