I Tried Filipino Street Food in Quiapo… Then They Gave Me Balut 🇵🇭

My first trip through Quiapo Market in Manila was everything I hoped it would be—and way more than I was prepared for. 🇵🇭 With two Filipina chefs showing me around, I tried my way through Filipino street food including grilled pusit, lechon, lumpia, rambutan, lanzones, coconut-pandan sherbet, Hungarian sausage and, of course, my first-ever balut. Between meeting locals, getting recognized in the market, learning how Filipinos actually eat these foods and experiencing the energy of Quiapo, this ended up being one of my favorite days in the Philippines.
