In this video: Denver test Detect (not assess) potential developmental problems in young children. Used with apparently well children from birth to 6 years. Valuable to assess asymptomatic children for possible problems. Monitor children at risk for developmental problems, such as those who have experienced perinatal difficulties. Not IQ test Not designed for diagnostic label (learning disability, language disorders, emotional problems, delayed milestone) Screening the following areas of function: Personal – social ( getting along with people and caring for personal needs) Fine motor – adaptive ( eye – hand coordination, manipulation of small objects, and problem-solving) Language (hearing, understanding, and using language) Gross motor (sitting, walking, jumping, and overall large muscle movement) Also include 5 items (test behaviour) https://www.fb.com/dregpt   / dregpt
