Tom Evans “I Had to Do Less to Win UTMB”

One year after his historic victory in 2025, defending champion Tom Evans is watching the race from the sidelines in Chamonix. Why step away from the start line? To put life, mental health and happiness first — values that have become his greatest drivers for performance. In this episode, the ASICS athlete looks back on the meticulous preparation behind his victory, the importance of having his loved ones by his side throughout the journey, and his perspective on the rapidly evolving world of trail running. Tom Evans challenges the culture of overtraining and reminds us of something essential: behind the 100-mile champion is, first and foremost, a father who refuses to let his victories define him.
