Moby – Bring Back My Happiness | Love Persists in the Spotless Mind (X Mix 01)

Over the life of house and techno, certain tracks have accumulated deep catalogs of remixes. There are a handful I’ve always wanted to create my own reconstruction of. This is one of them. This is Moby’s “Bring Back My Happiness,” an extended reconstruction built from four different remixes: • Extended Mix • Underground Mix • Para Los Discos Mix • Josh Wink Remix All four versions were released in 1995. This reconstruction returns the track to a long-form tradition—to the days when DJs spent four, six, eight or more hours in the booth and held the dance floor by rebuilding one track from different remixes: capturing the room and, for a while, stopping time.
