"Spartacus" - Centennial High School Marching Band and Colorguard 2000-2001 Official Video

This is the remaster of the official 2000-2001 band video for the Centennial High School Marching Band and Color Guard from Gresham, OR. Originally produced by Olin Radford for cable access station Multnomah Community Television (MCTV), it has now been upscaled and remastered using Topaz Video AI and Davinci Resolve by his sons and band alumni, David Radford (class of 2002, junior) and Justin Radford (class of 2005). This was the first video they produced for the marching band. Features footage of band camp, rehearsal, and performances primarily from the marching band, as well as winter guard and pep band. A big feature was the band trip down to California to participate in a large competition against many large, formidable California schools, placing a very respectable 8th place. The fall field show is an arrangement of "Adagio" from the ballet Spartacus by Aram Khachaturian. This is the second year in a row where Centennial won the championships for the Northwest Marching Band Circuit. This was shot using at-the-time high-end digital TV cameras on DVCam tapes at 480i resolution at 60 frames per second. Since we have access to the master DVCam digital tape, the transfer was very high quality and upscaled to 1080p very well. As such, the original title cards were retained. There is no remastering credit added to the video as I could not locate the fonts used. White balance was tweaked for the videos inside the band room, and the performance at McKenzie Stadium were heavily brightened; otherwise, minor color correction was done in all shots. Audio was also rebalanced, as the original video was very quiet. Footage of the California trip was shot using two consumer-grade camcorders.
