This is a prototype test of Black Zero! Why prototype? Because I only realized after recording the video that I had forgotten to include one of his moves and update it accordingly... Oops. 😂
Black Zero vs. Regular Zero
Here are the current differences between Black Zero and the original Zero:
2× Defense: Takes only half the damage.
Half Special Weapon Energy Cost: Special moves consume 50% less energy.
Enhanced Z.Saber:
Increased attack range, extended slightly further with Saber Extend.
Regular Z.Saber slashes deal 1.5× damage and impact.
Reppumai's follow-up slash deals increased damage.
Since this is just a prototype test, I went with an aggressive, trading-hits playstyle to get a feel for the actual damage output and combat efficiency. The numbers may still need some fine-tuning, but unless something unexpected comes up, Zero's gameplay mechanics are pretty much finalized!
Planned Unlock
In the full game, Black Zero is planned to unlock alongside X obtaining his complete set of armor. This will also unlock an upgrade for Classic Mega Man, although I haven't started working on that part yet... 😅
Sorry, I haven't had much time to update the GitHub repository lately. Debugging and my day job have been taking up too much of my time. I'll work on updating the documentation as soon as I can once the major bugs are fixed.
Also, the Discord server is now open!

Anyone interested in the project is welcome to join and discuss it with us! I'll also be sharing work-in-progress clips and other assets that haven't made it into the videos yet over there.
