The photographs alone. On 29 November 1940 a German reconnaissance aircraft crossed Wiltshire with its cameras running, a picture about every 15 seconds. Its long-lens frames, now in the US National Archives, are joined in order and flown again at twice the real speed, with no captions: Avoncliff, Trowbridge, Bratton, Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge, Amesbury, Clarendon, Redlynch. 0:00 Title 0:04 Avoncliff and the Avon gorge 1:03 Bratton Castle 1:24 Across Salisbury Plain 2:39 Stonehenge 3:07 The turn over Amesbury 3:25 Clarendon to Redlynch 3:55 End The captioned version, with frame numbers, camera-clock readings and the German interpreters' notes, and all sources: https://www.sarsen.org/luftwaffe Photographs: Luftwaffe, 29 November 1940, US National Archives, RG 373, GX 10484 (Use: Unrestricted).
