Do you really know the medicines you take? Many people recognize their medicines by their colour, shape, packaging, or what they use them for—but can they actually name them? In this first episode of Know Your Medicine, PharmWise Ghana explores why knowing the actual name of your medicine matters and the three basic things everyone should know about the medicines they use: 💊 NAME What is the medicine called? 🎯 PURPOSE What is it used for? 📋 HOW TO USE IT How are you supposed to take or use it? We also look at a common situation: going to a pharmacy and describing your medicine as “the small white one” or “the one for my pressure.” Knowing what a medicine looks like may help you recognize it, but recognizing a medicine is not the same as knowing its identity.
