A short video documenting the affordable housing crisis on North Haven Island in Maine—and what North Haven Sustainable Housing is doing about it. A lack of affordable housing for rent or purchase affects virtually every aspect of life in our small town. There's no single solution to fixing this problem, and NHSH has done a little bit of everything: constructing single family homes, renovating and re-selling existing homes, creating rental properties, even weatherizing homes to make them more affordable to live in. But the bottom line is we need to create more housing. And we've got momentum to do just that!
