Volley & Bayonet WSS learning game - On The Gaming Table

At the recent HKSW club meeting, Kim and Neil joined me in a 'learning game' of Volley & Bayonet Road to Glory. This battle is early 1700s WAr of the Spanish Succession, French vs. Imperials (which I keep calling 'Austrians' in the video). We were doing a bit more of 'learning the rules' rather than just being told how things work. This was also the first game I've done that wasn't ACW, so there's a quantity of cavalry on the field to change the dynamic. Figures are 3mm from Project Wargaming, and the game is at 2/3 measurement scale (so a linear infantry base is 2" x 1" / 50 x 25 mm). I did these forces at this scale to allow for larger battles on a moderate-sized table. What you see here would be about 20,000 men per side, and I'll keep painting more...
