Lake Barrett Saturday, September 16th, 2026

Got out on the water early and the morning bite was on fire. Picked up three quick largemouth bass on the Strike King Mini Pro‑Buzz Buzzbait (Chartreuse/White, 1/8 oz) before switching things up to the Heddon Super Spook Jr. (Clear, 1/2 oz) for some topwater action. When the fish slowed down, I went finesse with two confidence baits from Sportsman’s Warehouse: Yamamoto Yamatanuki (Green Pumpkin/Black Flake, 2.5", 1/4 oz) Roboworm Straight Tail Worm (Morning Dawn Chartreuse, 6") The combo paid off — wrapped up the solo session with 11 total fish before heading out to grab the little SDWaterHoppers. Once we all got back to Lake Barrett, the kids took over the dock and spent the rest of the day catching bluegill and largemouth bass. Perfect weather, great company, and an awesome way to close out our final trip of the 2026 season. We can’t wait to get back out there next year.
