Reconnecting

We talk a lot about disconnecting from our devices. But what do we actually REconnect to, once the phone’s away and the laptop is closed? Four days on the Leopard Trail, in the remote Baviaanskloof mountains of South Africa, with a group of twelve, aged 19 to 70-something, gave me five answers: reconnecting with our bodies, with the scale and rhythm of the landscape, with the living natural world, with real people, and with ourselves. Together, I think they add up to something foundational to being human. I also suspect there are more connections than just these five! What would you add? Tell me in the comments.
