Welcome to my Powerful Podcast with prof. Bibha tripathi maam, a professor of Faculty of law, Banaras Hindu university.
Professor Bibha Tripathi is a prominent legal scholar, academician, and the first female Professor in the 100-year history of the Faculty of Law at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. She is widely recognized for her extensive work in criminal law, gender sensitization, and human rights.

In this video The main focus of discussion is crimes against women, their safety, and their struggle within society. She will inform us about the laws designed for women's safety and also familiarize us with their rights.

About Dr. Bibha Tripathi : Professor Bibha Tripathi is a highly distinguished legal scholar, currently serving as a Professor in the Faculty of Law at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Notably, she holds the historic distinction of being the first female professor in the over 100-year history of the BHU Law School.
She has over 25 years of teaching experience, specializing in the Law of Crimes, Feminist Criminology, Penology, Victimology, and the legal status of vulnerable classes.
◆ Nari Shakti Samman (2025): Awarded for her profound contributions to legal scholarship and women's rights advocacy.
◆ President of India Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal (1998): Conferred upon her during her time as a student for being adjudged the Best Student of BHU.
Other Accolades: Recipient of the Vidushi Ratna Samman and the Visisht Shikshak Samman for academic excellence.
In 2024, she was nominated by the Supreme Court Visitor to the Executive Council of Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj. She is also a member of the School Board at the Central University of Punjab.
