Employment Services Amendment Bill open for public commentary until 6 Nov

South Africans have until the 6th of November to comment on a Employment Services Amendment Bill. The proposed legislation aims to increase penalties against employers who employ undocumented foreign nationals as well as introduce quotas to the employment of foreign nationals in various sectors. COSATU anticipates that the proposed legislation will take about a year or two to finalise. Calling on government to have capacity to enforce the proposed legislation by sticking to its commitment to increase the number of labour inspectors.
