Carney signs 100-year agreement with Zelenskyy to deepen Canada’s ties to Ukraine | FULL

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Mark Carney were in Calgary Thursday, where the leaders signed a declaration for a 100-year partnership, that spans across security, trade, investment, reconstruction, energy, critical minerals and technology. “Our two nations have been connected since 1893. This is a relationship that has flourished over a hundred years, and it will flourish in the century ahead. long after this war ends. Ukrainians helped build Canada, and Canadians will help rebuild Ukraine,” Carney said. The agreement includes co-production of military drones between the two countries - 30 per cent of which will go to Ukraine immediately. The Canadian prime minister said that the Canadian Armed Forces currently have roughly 2,000 drones in their inventory and “in the years to come, we will need millions.” “Ukraine has built a world-leading drone industry. You're defining the future of defense and security. Your drones costing a few hundred dollars have sunk warships worth hundreds of millions.” Carney added.
