A short drama film about family, pride and what money cannot buy.
Walt Bennett came to dinner in his old corduroy jacket, straight from work. His daughter's future mother-in-law mistook him for a delivery man, asked for separate checks and told him to order the soup because it was the cheapest thing on the menu.
Walt said nothing. He wanted to see how his future family treats a man with nothing. Nobody at the table knew that the restaurant was his. Nor did they know that he owned the old cannery on Water Street, the building her husband had been trying to buy for three months.
Then the bill came.
