Two weeks ago we attended the 1st annual Persimmon Tasting at Cliff England's farm in McKee Kentucky. It was a 16-hour drive from our home in Massachusetts, but necessary work & research to determine which persimmons really live up to their reputation. Here I cover only the very best-flavored of the persimmons we tasted (and we tasted almost everything). If you're going to grow Diospyros virginiana, these are the ones you want.
