NOT 2, BUT 3 RIDERS, 6 WHEELS! 🏍️💨 MANALI TO LEH — TOUGHEST RIDE | Part 1/2 (18 September 2026) Join the three of us as we embark on the ultimate Himalayan adventure—riding 430 km from Manali to Leh on the legendary NH3 Manali-Leh Highway! Fully self-driven and carrying 15–18 kg of gear strapped to our bikes, our team of three is taking on one of the world's highest and toughest motorcycling routes. OUR BIKES Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc Royal Enfield Scram 411cc Royal Enfield Hunter 350cc Part 1/2: Manali ➔ Jispa ROUTE & HIGHLIGHTS Starting Point Manali Main Road onto the NH3 Highway. Permits & Route Info As international travelers, no special permits were required—just our passports and International Driving Permits (IDP). Atal Tunnel We took the Atal Tunnel route since local bike rental shops informed us that the Rohtang Pass road was closed to motorcycles. Fuel Stop Made our first refueling stop at the iconic IndianOil station in Tandi (Note: The absolute last fuel station along the route is actually in Keylong!). Lunch Stop Took a break for lunch in Keylong. Overnight Stay Headed to Jispa to stay for the first night to acclimatize to the high altitude. Day 1 went smoothly —so far, so good!
