Star Fox 64 Hard Path: Level 7 Venom 2

This is it! After all the trials, obstacles, and battles we've gone through, we've now reached our final destination (no, not the Smash Bros version): Venom! Depending on which level you come to before this, you'll either get the easy route via coming from Bolse, or the all-range showdown against Star Wolf that you see here. This makes for an awesome finale to the game where you're first pitted against Star Wolf, who you're likely to first encounter on Fortuna on the Easy Path, and after going through the tough bosses on the Hard Path, seeing them again on Venom 2 gives the impression of how far you've come and now you have to defeat your rivals once and for all. They ain't pulling any punches with this fight, though, as they're flying Wolfen II's, which are harder to take down and can barrel roll to deflect your lasers. What also doesn't help is that the level has numerous pillars that can cause some problems if you don't fly carefully. However, once Star Wolf is defeated, you'll have a straight shot at Andross, along with Star Wolf giving some awesome lines that once again show how far you've come. With Star Wolf taken down, though, it'll be time to face Andross himself. It may seem at first that you're fighting him the same way on the Easy Path, but you'll quickly find out that's not the case because after destroying his outer skin, he'll reveal his true form, a giant brain with floating eyeballs. This all-range battle pits you against the real Andross instead of a decoy, and this will determine once and for all the fate of the Lylat System. I remember when watching my brother get to this final boss and being shocked at how different and difficult it is compared to what we've been used to doing on the Easy Path, especially after Andross is defeated and you have to escape his collapsing lair. It really helps drive home how this really is the final level in the game and helps bring this awesome game to a close. But with this part uploaded, that concludes my gameplay of the Hard Path on Star Fox 64. This was an interesting experiment to try out, and I'm glad it worked out nicely for me. Could it have gone better? Perhaps. Regardless, though, this was an interesting challenge and it may lead to more gameplay videos in the future. We'll see about that later on, but for now, I hope you enjoyed this gameplay.
