When the actor has too much range......

Mads Mikkelsen has played everything from a Bond villain and a cannibal psychiatrist to a desperate teacher, a Viking warrior, and an ordinary man accused of an unthinkable crime. From his breakthrough in Pusher to Le Chiffre in Casino Royale, Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal, Lucas in The Hunt, and Martin in Another Round, Mikkelsen has built one of the most unpredictable careers in modern cinema. While Hollywood often casts him as the sophisticated villain, his Danish films reveal something completely different: vulnerability, dark comedy, tragedy, and remarkable emotional range. This video explores how Mads Mikkelsen became one of the most versatile actors of his generation—and why no single role can define him. Featuring films and series including Pusher, The Green Butchers, Adam’s Apples, After the Wedding, Casino Royale, Valhalla Rising, A Royal Affair, The Hunt, Hannibal, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Another Round.
