Chapter 3 — The Finale: Closing the Loop Every journey has a beginning. And every circle has a moment when it finally comes full circle. After travelling the Circle Line and revisiting places filled with memories, it was time to complete the journey — with the three new stations that were not part of my earlier Circle Line experience. Keppel. Cantonment. Prince Edward Road. Three new stations. Three missing pieces. From the first glimpse of Keppel from inside the train, to the grand platform of Cantonment, and the striking architecture of Prince Edward Road, this chapter explores the final additions to the Circle Line. But reaching Prince Edward Road wasn’t the end. From Marina Bay, the journey continued through Bayfront, Promenade, Nicoll Highway, Stadium, Mountbatten and Dakota, with the station display quietly counting down to the final destination. Paya Lebar. The station where this journey began. As I step off the train and watch it leave the station, the Circle Line is finally complete. But perhaps closing a loop isn’t really about reaching the end. It’s about everything you experienced along the way. The loop is closed.
