Nourishing Beginnings: Get to Know Our MMC Lactation Consultants

August is Breastfeeding Month, and we’re taking a closer look at the important role our certified lactation consultants play in supporting new families. From helping parents find a comfortable position and proper latch to answering questions and offering encouragement, our lactation consultants provide personalized support throughout the breastfeeding journey. Their goal is to make sure every parent feels informed, confident, and supported, because every breastfeeding journey is unique. Want to learn more? Our Breastfeeding Basics course is held one Saturday each month at the MMC Annex. Topics include milk production, human milk vs. formula, what to expect when you deliver, breastfeeding how-to, and common concerns.
