This Fijian number was composed in a single sitting on a sunday afternoon in 2018, in my little study room, lights off and guitar in my hands. The lyrics weren't hard to find (unlike songs like "Mai kalivari") and I believe it was because of the prayer I offered before I started writing this afternoon. Most times, songs I've written begin with a tune, and sometimes they come from an idea or phrase. This song was born from the phrase "Turaga, Raici au Mai."
