Forró in Philly | Dance Demo by Rafael & Fiona (after forró workshop in Philadelphia)

At the end of our first Forró New York workshop in Philadelphia, we shared a short, improvised dance — just to mark the moment and celebrate the energy of the night. This special event was a collaboration with our friends from Forró Philly, and it was a joy to be joined by guest instructor Fiona, visiting from Germany. We’re dancing here to “Vendedor de Caranguejos” — a classic recording by Gordurinha, full of swing and playful spirit. Thank you to everyone who showed up, danced, and helped make this gathering so memorable. Philly’s forró scene is small but full of heart — and this is just the beginning.
