Cinderella; or The Little Glass Slipper (Fairy Tales for Grown-Ups): by Charles Perrault - Audiobook

*This is my favorite version of the story* A most beautiful and loving peasant girl is bedecked as a princess and sent to the ball in a carriage fashioned from a pumpkin. All by the doings of her Fairy Godmother. Classic fairytales, though often adapted into stories for children, are not, in their original form, entirely suitable for children. Beyond the macabre themes, dark twists, and outright gore, the stories are written in language largely unfamiliar to modern children. Fairytales for Grown-Ups are faithful readings of the original fairytales, folktales, fables, and short stories; with all their darker aspects and flowery language left intact.
