Why are we preaching about greed? -Because how we deal with possessions is one of the greatest struggles of man — and the Lord recognizes this and that is why there are more verses in the Bible about the subject of money, than there are about faith and prayer combined! -Because it is insidious and invisible and it attacks our hearts where we are most vulnerable. -Because money can be a powerful false God in our lives. In this passage, Luke records Jesus' teaching about greed; the danger of being consumed by it, the description of its self-centeredness, and the destiny of those who are greedy.
