'CM Prepared For Cinema Shooting': Udhayanidhi Stalin Slams CM Vijay's Assembly Speech | N18V

DMK leader and Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin addressed media personnel following a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, criticising the administration and the Chief Minister's address. Stalin stated that the Chief Minister merely read out allegations in the House instead of answering questions on administrative files. He pointed out that following the Sarkaria Commission, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam secured public support to govern three times, asserting that no DMK leader, former minister, or legislator has been convicted by a court on corruption charges. Stalin raised counter-allegations against the ruling dispensation, pointing to pending cases against key figures in the administration. He cited an Income Tax case concerning undisclosed income of fifteen crore rupees against the Chief Minister, alongside Enforcement Directorate investigations involving other ministers and political associates. He also referenced statements made by an IUML legislator alleging financial inducements and offers of ministerial berths during government formation, describing the administration as being engaged in horse-trading. Regarding vigilance searches at the residence of former minister K. N. Nehru, Stalin affirmed that the party is fully prepared to face all legal inquiries through lawful means. Stalin made specific charges regarding state-run mineral resources, stating, "I am openly placing an allegation against this government. The Chief Minister's friends and office advisors—Vishnu Reddy, his brother-in-law Sujay Reddy, and business partner Anil Reddy—have full control over government minings. I will release every piece of evidence one by one." Additionally, Stalin characterised the Chief Minister's reply as scripted dialogue rehearsed for a cinema shoot rather than a factual response to fifteen specific questions raised by the opposition.
