Mystery of Tirupati Balaji Temple

Who made the idol of Tirupati Balaji, and when? This Hindi documentary starts from that unanswered question and walks through the story of the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple: the seven hills, the early records of worship including the recorded donations of the Pallava queen Samavai, and the traditions of Bhrigu's test, Padmavati Kalyanam and Kubera's loan. It then takes up the claims that circulate on the internet - real hair on the idol, a sweating murti, eternal lamps, the ocean sound - and asks what can actually be said about each of them, before closing, as always, in darshan. #TirupatiBalaji #Tirumala #TirupatiTemple
