80s Japanese City Pop Mix — A Weekend That Won't End | Side B

An hour of bright 80s Japanese city pop — ten songs, all at one steady tempo. All tracks are original works produced by Resonance Tapes — composed with the help of AI tools, then curated, arranged and mixed by hand. The ten songs arrived between 114.8 and 117.2 BPM, so they were pulled onto one tempo at 114.8. The groove carries from the first track to the last without a seam. Read the titles in order and a weekend goes past — it starts at a cafe on a hill, passes a ferris wheel by the sea and the lights of a tower, and arrives at Sunday morning. It was put together for a day off. The first cup after you wake up, the hours when your hands are busy with work or chores, or a day you have decided to spend doing nothing at all. The cover shows where this music is playing. She is out on a balcony looking over the city, coffee steaming in her hand. The curtains are dragged sideways by the wind. Side A of this series sits at dusk. This one is morning.
